And, we’re off!!! We packed our car to the brim and
started the long journey to Virginia… It is just
UNBELIEVABLE how much space kids stuff AND heavy winter
clothes take up in a car. Needless to say, Corinne was
trapped in her seat in the back of the car. This road trip
also brought to light a new medical condition that we
didn’t know that Corinne had called… BOTTOMLESS PIT
CORINNE-itis. We weren’t even out of the driveway when she
asked for treats from the “goodie bag”. She ate everything
from peanut butter to cheese crackers to chocolate chip
cookies and everything in between. And
her eating didn’t stop until…
When we arrived in Memphis, Corinne got a special surprise
b/c she got to see her cousin Jack and aunt Jenn who just
happened to be in Memphis that day. Corinne and Jack had
so much fun playing and running around and just being
together!
Then we arrived at our friends Jonathan and Leslie’s house
and have had a wonderful time catching up with them.
Today, we’ll see all Memphis has to offer!
So here is our schedule for the trip:
Thurdsay: drive to Memphis
Friday: Spend the day in Memphis
Saturday: Drive to Oak Ridge, TN to see family
Sunday: Spend the day in Oak Ridge
Monday: Drive to Johnson City, TN to see more family
Tuesday: drive into Richmond
I’m sure we’ll have more adventures on the road and we’ll
try to keep you updated as we have time.
Looks like you have a car full! I hope you are glad you are driving and we didn't give you bad advice. Have a great experience. We can't wait to follow it and live it out with you!
ReplyDeleteHi! I work with Kent here at the Seminary, and I have been praying for you...and your families! It looks like you are off to a fun start. I am from East Tennessee, Powell, TN. My grandparents and family sill live in Rogersville, not too far from Johnson City. Enjoy the beauty of the Appalachians!
